Giuseppe Sciuto, flute
Giuseppe is an Italian Flutist with an extraordinary love for music and a great teaching ability.
Flutist Giuseppe Sciuto has been called “very gifted”, and produces “sounds of excellent sound and fluidity, with a Mediterranean musical influence”. He perfected his skills with renowned European professional flautists, including Bruno Cavallo, Carlo Tabarelli, Davide Formisano, Gary Schocker, Giampaolo Pretto, Roberto Fabbriciani, Salvatore Vella, Giovanni Roselli, Jean Larson Garver, Deborah Baron, Michael Lynn, Jean Ferrandis, Lorna McGhee and Thomas Robertello. He has won numerous national and international contests and has been the principal flute in the Sicilian Symphony Orchestra. He has played for the Kiev Feminine National Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Vittorio Emanuele Theatre in Messina, the Juvenile Orchestra of the Bellini Music Institute in Catania, the Mediterranean Symphony Orchestra, the Meadows Symphony Orchestra, and the Meadows Wind Ensemble. He has worked with illustrious conductors and has also been managing an intensive concert schedule, from Italy to the USA. He graduated at the Southern Methodist University in Dallas on May 2017, as a Performers Diploma student in the class of the former principal flute of the DSO, Jean Larson Garver.
