David Large, violin & viola

David Large holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music with a minor in Education from the University of North Texas and has taught Orchestra for the past 30 years in the DISD School System including, Greiner Academy Exploratory for the Arts for 14 years and 10 years at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts.  His orchestras over the past 30 years have earned 30 Texas UIL Sweepstakes Awards and 3 High School DownBeat Magazine Awards. One of his String Orchestras was invited to and performed at Carnegie Hall in 2012.

Mr. Large has taught private lessons on the Violin, Viola, Cello and Doublebass for 21 years. He is a father of four and has five grand kids. We are over-the-moon excited to have Mr. Large teaching with us at MSS!
