private lessons
In general...
Music lessons and classes are a partnership between student, parent, and teacher; all three parts are equally important and lacking one of these three parts might inhibit success!
piano
The piano is a common instrument to begin on, but it’s essential to start with the right foundation. Our teachers incorporate theory, technique, and artistry into each lesson. Students also have the option of participating in local association festivals and contests, the TMTA theory test, and two yearly studio recitals.
voice
A typical voice lesson includes breathing exercises, warm-ups, scales, canons, ear training, and learning repertoire. Theory and sight-reading are also incorporated to make sure vocalists are well rounded and able to read staff music. Facial expressions, body awareness, and character work are integrated to build stage presence.
guitar
We are so excited to finally add guitar lessons to our studio! Electric & acoustic guitar is offered in both class and private sessions for both students and adults. See Brett Landrum's teacher page for more information.
