Meredith Manley is a Dallas native who began formal piano lessons and choir in elementary school. She remained active in various choirs through college at SMU, where she earned her bachelors’ degrees in Music Therapy (voice concentration) and Psychology. After becoming a board certified music therapist in 2011, she moved to Chicago and had the opportunity to participate in concerts with the Chicago Chorale, including performances with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. She owned her own piano/voice studio and music therapy practice there before moving back to Dallas in 2015.
Meredith is a registered Music Together® teacher and has taught early childhood music classes for almost ten years. She is a board member of DMTA and is a huge advocate for arts education. She believes that anyone can learn music, no matter what age, and finds great joy in helping students begin a lifelong appreciation for the arts. Although she is still a practicing music therapist, she has discovered a love of teaching and is very excited to be a part of Music So Simple! Click here for our interview with Meredith!
