Stathia Orwig, NTCM, founder & owner, piano & early childhood music
Stathia Orwig, NCTM has been teaching music in the Dallas area for over 20 years. She is a member and immediate-past president of Dallas Music Teachers Association and was a board member of Texas Music Teachers Association. She has also completed her Yoga Teacher certification, earning her RYT200.
She began piano lessons in grade school and participated in many Dallas MTA and Garland MTA festivals and contests. After graduation from Ursuline Academy in Dallas, she went on to earn her degree from Austin College, where she studied piano under Daniel Dominick and toured the U.S. and Europe with her choir, conducted by Wayne Crannell. Stathia loves children and teaching. She has developed and shaped baby, toddler, and preschool curriculums, as well as taught over 120 piano students. Parents say she is responsible for giving musical passion and joy in many little ones who have gone on to study with musical confidence! Her piano students regard her not only as a teacher, but as a role model and mentor. In October of 2021, she was recently inducted into the Steinway & Sons Teacher Hall of Fame in New York! Stathia is extremely excited about owning Music SO Simple as well as being the preschool music teacher at Little Disciples Early Learning at St. Joseph Catholic Church & School in Richardson, Texas. She strives to know each and every student she teaches or who is part of the Music SO Simple family. Together with her teachers (which are the best of the best!), she and her entire family (and she's got one big Greek family who backs her!) truly make Music SO Simple the best place to teach and learn the love of music.
