James Landrum, guitar & ukulele
James Brett Landrum has been teaching and performing as a guitarist in Dallas since 2013 since graduating from John Brown University with a degree in Youth Ministry. He is on staff in the worship ministry of CLife Church in Rockwall, a member of local Green Day tribute band Basket Case, and half of the jazz duo Keep It Classy. His influences include Tommy Emmanuel, Eric Johnson, and Mateus Asato. He also plays ukulele, mandolin, and harmonica.
As a teacher, Mr. James encourages students to balance technique with theory. His students have opportunities to learn any genre they choose while focusing on the small details that lead to excellence. Students will learn to read music, improvise, compose, and enjoy making music wherever they go. We are blessed to have James part of our Music SO Simple family and know you will love his teaching as well! To see his teacher interview, click here!
